In this context, the need for space exploration of NEOs is widely recognized (e.g., in the Spaceguard Survey report, Morrison, ; or in Space Surveillance, Asteroids and Comets, and Space Debris, USAF Science Advisory Board report, ). More recently, a UK Task Force on NEOs has recommended that an international approach be considered that. During its more than year history, NASA's success in human space exploration has depended on the agency's ability to effectively address a wide range of biomedical, engineering, physical science, and related obstacles--an achievement made possible by NASA's strong and productive commitments to life and physical sciences research for human.

The decadal survey on life and physical sciences—Recapturing a Future for Space Exploration: Life and Physical Sciences Research for a New Era 2 —is not discussed because this workshop was initiated in response to a request from NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD) to examine the lessons learned from the conduct of the four most.

the context of NASA’s new vision for space exploration. The committee will draw on relevant past NRC science strategies and will do the following: 1. Develop a guiding statement of how scientific efforts will mesh into the new vision for space exploration, 2.

Physical oceanography is the study of the physical properties and dynamic processes of the oceans. Physical oceanographers study the interaction of the ocean with the atmosphere, how the ocean stores and releases heat, the physical properties (or chemical content) of water throughout the ocean, and the formation and movement of currents and coastal dynamics.

For the convenience of students, post-doctoral fellows, young career researchers, and their mentors, this page contains a [growing] list of opportunities.

The current list includes summer programs and scholarships for undergraduates and graduate students, post-doctoral fellowships, special programs for early career researchers, faculty members, and senior scientists.

Topics should relate to science, exploration and technology activities (past, present, planned or under development) on the International Space Station. Both the conference and abstract submittal are open to entrepreneurial, commercial, academic and government agency attendees, both from and outside the United States.
